"Of course it wasn't our place!" Clopin retorted. "And if I'm going to Hell, you're going down with me, so that I may torture you forevermore." Clopin said, with a wicked smile. He then tossed Frollo towards the ground, before taking a few steps back. "And...for your words and actions...prepare to die." Clopin said, before disappearing into thin air.
(OOC: I swear, I wanted to make him say "My name is Clopin Trouillefou. You killed my parents. Prepare to die!")

((ooc: Pffft...that made me laugh like an idiot. XDDD))
Frollo hit the ground with a thud, letting out a sound of protest as he fell. Oh, the gypsy would pay dearly for that. However, before he could deal a proper blow back, Clopin had disappeared. Frollo rolled his eyes at the familiar trick, pushing himself into a standing position and dusting the dirt off of his robes.
Please. As though Claude would be fearful of a man such as this, who'd been running from he and his soldiers all his life. "Come out of your hiding, gypsy," Frollo sneered, smirking as he waiting for Clopin to resurface somewhere. "...of course, that's all your people were ever good for, so I really can't blame you. I'll find you eventually if you chose not to come out. After all...I've done it before," he taunted.

"Such a pompous man you were...or, still are" Clopin said, before appearing directly in front of Frollo, with a scythe being the only thing separating the two. "Of course we are good at disappearing into thin air. Especially if the gypsy you are facing is the master of tomfoolery and attacks." Clopin said, with a prideful grin. "Does the dear judge have any last words?" Clopin asked in a teasing voice, as he pursed his lips.

Frollo's haughty smirk immediately disappeared, and he scowled in reply to Clopin. Though he would refuse to admit it, however, the man's scythe did look particularly threatening. And Clopin did have every reason in the world to kill him...Frollo needed to think of some way out of this. But he needed to do it without being, ugh, submissive to Clopin's threats.
Trying to conceal the gulp building up in his throat, he looked back up at Clopin carefully. "Now, now listen to me...what exactly do you intend to gain by this? Killing me may save you from my wrath, but not that of God. I can save you from that...if you just put that away now..." Good Lord, it seemed like he'd said a speech just like this before to someone else threatening his life...he really needed to stop angering people with weapons.

(OCC: If you wanted this to only yourselves frollo and clopin you can make your characters ignore him)
Splinter was at first confused with clopin's teasing then as clopin tugged frollo to his face and shouted about his parents deaths along with frollo snapping at him that they "were in hell" splinter's face turned to immense shock. Splinter somehow believed clopin more than frollo. However Clopin seemed to be very malicious and would show no mercy to the older man. Splinter stood up and replied to clopin trying to make temporary peace "Wait! Do not do this! If you destroy him his sayings will be shown true. You will allow him to win! As much as you want to harm oneanother you can not and you should not! I may know nothing of what he did but if what you say is true then killing him will not bring you anything!"

Clopin's eyes narrowed dangerously. "And what makes you think I believe in your Lord? You call us users of witchcraft, pagans, and all the other religious denominations you have deemed us to be." he snapped. However, before he could even raise his scythe, Splinter interrupted him. Clopin then whirled around to face the rat, at the moment, not surprised that an animal could speak. "Does it look like I care? Killing him would bring me total satisfaction." Clopin growled.
"And judging by how well I know this man, he does not stay true to his word."

Somehow, Frollo's face managed to pale even more than it already was when Clopin said that. Well, he was probably done for, then. If the gypsy didn't at least believe in the religion that he offered to teach him, then there wasn't much he could do. Frollo could always try and make him believe, but that didn't really seem like reason for the man to let him live.
At Splinter's intervention, however, Frollo saw his chance. "Total satisfaction? Are you so sure about that, my friend?" Frollo said coyly, a dry grin forming on his face. "Go ahead and kill me if you must, but just know that if you do...not only would you be sending me back as a martyr, but you'd no longer have anyone like me around to annoy in that repulsing way of yours. Wouldn't you agree?"

Splinter did not stir at clopin's growl againest him. Splinter would not allow this man to show killing "It may be so but I thought many times to kill my own enemy. Why did I not do so? It was because it was againest everything people should stand for. I see you as an honorable avenger sir but if you kill this man it will destroy you on the inside you may not see that now or maybe never see it at all but you must not do this!" Splinter stepped slightly closer to clopin "Please. Show this man how good you can be"

Clopin rolled his eyes sarcastically. "Then you must not know who I am, mon ami. I am first and foremost a protector of my people. If I kill this man, I would be avenging many lives...including those of my parents." Clopin said, whirling around to face Frollo.
"But. I would lose my source of entertainment. Therefore, I will let you live, but you won't escape my wrath. I will make you life a living hell." Clopin said, hissing the last word to make sure it stung.

((ooc: Hope nobody minds me dragging Chel in...I just realized that she doesn't really have anywhere to stay during the storm, and I just can't resist making Frollo uncomfortable. CX))
Frollo narrowed his eyes at the gypsy, secretly rather relieved that Clopin had chosen not to kill him for the moment. "We shall just see about that, then, won't we?" He said haughtily, folding his arms across his chest as he spoke.
"What is with all of this arguing? Don't you people think that there's enough noise going on outside?"
A lightly accented voice gave a sarcastic scoff, the owner rolling her eyes as she stepped into the cave. Chel glanced at the men fighting at the end of the cave, having only been present to listen for a small portion of their fighting but knowing enough to find it ridiculous.
She'd been searching for a place to stay dry for who knew how long, and was already soaked as she'd entered the cave, and the loud noises of these men was enough to give her an even bigger headache than she already had. Wringing out her long hair, she walked further inside, glaring at the open mouthed stare Frollo was giving her as she moved closer to them.
"You got a problem, honey?" She asked, narrowing her eyes at the judge.

Soul and Crona had both fallen silent as the arguing ensued. It wasn't pleasant. Not at all. Soul had had to deal with arguing before, he had dealt with it from Maka and himself before, but this... this was just irritating. The white-haired boy had opened his mouth to throw his own comment in, but Chel's arrival stopped him. "Chel! Hey, good to see you're okay." Soul said at last.

Chel turned abruptly from the old man's disapproving stare, giving a friendly smile at Soul. Finally, someone who wasn't acting like an idiot or a perv, which was more than she could say about these other two men.
"Hey, kid," she grinned, giving a small laugh. "Pffft, aside from getting soaked out there from that rain, I'm perfectly fine. Nice to see that you're okay, too." Suddenly, Chel frowned. There was something that she was supposed to tell the boy, but she couldn't remember what it was. Something about a girl, she thought...oh, that was right!
"Oh, found your little girlfriend for ya," she smiled coyly, a bit of a teasing tone in her voice.

The argument between Clopin, Frollo, and Splinter was forgotten almost completely in that moment. It took a second to register just what had been said, but Chel had referred to a girlfriend. The only girl he had mentioned being his friend... well, that was Maka. She thought they were...
"W-What's she talking about, Soul?" Crona asked, apparently oblivious to the stunned look on Soul's face. the white-haired boy couldn't believe how seemingly easy it had been to locate Maka! Maybe he really had been looking in all the wrong places, after all. "Soul?" Crona asked again.
"She means she found Maka, Crona. I asked her to keep an eye out for her. That's all." Soul replied casually, offering a cool grin as he spoke. That ought to keep anyone off his tail if it came to asking how he felt about Maka. While his feelings weren't as evident as Maka's, he did feel something more than friendship when he thought about her. Seeing as he had a bit of a spot open next to him, Soul motioned for Chel to come over beside him if she wished. It was better than hanging around in the cave like someone who didn't know where they should go. "Do you happen to know where she is now?" Soul asked. Both he and Crona had similar thoughts in that moment. They both hoped their friend hadn't ended up in the same storm.

Chel merely shrugged. "Last time I saw her, she was in that burnt out village over there," the woman said casually, gesturing her thumb in some off-direction she supposed led to the abandoned village. "She seemed pretty glad that I'd seen you around...I think she was looking for you, too, kid," she added, glancing at Crona.
Hearing a sudden clap of thunder outside, Chel nearly jumped, frowning towards the cave entrance. "Hell, that's some kind of storm going on out there...hope nobody's lost out there."
