Quote: “I’m not really asking you to trust me, am I?”
Name: Chel
Alias: None
Age: 24
Film/Show/Game: The Road To El Dorado(Dreamworks)
Species: Human
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 135 lbs
Basic Appearance: Chel has long, black hair with bangs that reaches her hips, and very tan skin. Her eyes are brown. She wears a very short, midriff top and a skirt...towel…thing. Also, she wears two large, square gold earrings and two round green bracelets.
Picture:
Personality:
Chel is best described as “feisty;” she’s very outspoken and sassy, but she knows her place and her limits. She’s also smart, and knows how to get what she wants, and at the same time, she’s willing to do anything to get it. She’s a bit of a succubus in a way; she knows good and well that she’s attractive, and has no problem showing it off. She’s adventurous, and a bit of a gold digger, but she has a heart down deep inside that a few people can see…if she lets them, that is.
Allies: Miguel and Tulio…if they ever show up.
Enemies: Tzekel Kan, Cortes
Family: None
Alliances: She’s on her own, for now.
History:
Chel was born in El Dorado, the infamous city of gold, in the late 1400’s(Cortes arrived at the entrance to El Dorado in 1519), to a poor woman who lived in the streets. They had little to eat, and often had to steal for money. Her mother also had to do some pretty unvirtuous things to make money, if you know what I mean. Her mother was determined to raise her child to obtain a better life than she had…but how could she, when she had been born into such poverty? If there was one thing her mother taught her, it was that having the right amount of smarts could get you anywhere. And THAT was how she intended to achieve a better life.
Using her brain(and a bit of pick-pocketing skills), Chel did manage to get enough money to feed herself, even after her mother died when she was fourteen of sickness. But Chel wanted more than just food on her table; she wanted to get out of El Dorado, and find adventure in new, better places. And one day, when two strange, pale-skinned men arrived at the entrance to the City of Gold claiming to be gods, she saw her chance. Chel knew these two weren’t actual gods…at least, she didn’t think so. She’d never been very religious. It turned out that they were just here for the gold, which worked nicely to her advantage. Convincing them to become partners with her, Chel struck a deal, claiming that when they left the city, she would come with them and receive half of their gold.
She took an especial liking to the dark-haired one, Tulio, even though he seemed to dislike having her as he and Miguel’s partner. However, Chel managed to seduce the Spaniard, accidentally “falling in love” with him in the process. Eventually, the three managed to leave the city, barely escaping with their lives...but no gold. No matter. Chel still had what she wanted. She got her ticket out of there…and she had a nice little fling to go along with it. She and the boys headed back to Spain, scamming people out of their money in several attempts to get rich quick.
One night, after a particularly successful scam Chel went to sleep next to her friends, and somehow woke up in a strange new place that she’d never seen before…without Tulio. Or Miguel. Or…anyone.
Sample Post:
“Mhmm…Tulio, move over a little bit, eh?” Chel muttered in her sleep, attempting to shove her lover a bit to the side as she tossed and turned. She’d never really been one for cuddling at night. She frowned, however, when she felt not the familiar softness of Tulio, but a rather hard and pointy surface that would not give way as she pushed at it.
“Huh?” She mumbled, sitting up in blank confusion. This wasn’t her bed…this was a rather hard ground. And this rock that she’d been pushing certainly wasn’t Tulio. Rubbing the back of her neck to remove the stiffness, she muttered something under her breath, glancing around herself uncertainly.
After a moment, she finally rested her chin in her hands, sighing as she said aloud, “Alright, somebody’s got a lot of explaining to do around here…”
