(ooc: The date is May 6, in the late afternoon/early evening. The thread is closed to just Ion and Genis, because I totally want them to interact.)
Somehow, Ion found himself outside of Amaterasu's castle for the day. He couldn't recall when he said he would be back. The boy just wanted some time to himself to think things over... mostly about what had happened to him. It just... didn't feel right that he should be alive. Yet, there he was sitting in the plaza atop a small brick wall. Ion's eyes were closed and it appeared as though he was deep in thought. He was. The former Fon Master was trying to put everything that had happened together in some sort of coherent manner, but was making little progress in doing so. "This just doesn't make any sense." Ion finally said as he opened his eyes.
It only just hit him how long he had been sitting where he was. It was already becoming dark. A soft smile formed on his face after a moment as he gazed at the sky. After what had happened shortly after he had arrived in the strange world, Ion welcomed a calm scene. It helped him feel more at home. But... surely he wasn't the only one present at that moment. Someone else was surely enjoying the same scene he was... right?

“What doesn’t?”
Genis finally approached the emerald-haired boy, calmly busying himself with his kendama. He stared at the other youth, one thin white brow raised skeptically as he bounced the wooden toy’s ball in a lackluster attempt to get it through the spike at the top. Originally, he’d come here to squeeze in a bit of training with his magic, but the calmness of the place distracted him from doing just that. Instead, he was glad to just take a stroll and get some fresh air. Especially since he was surrounded by people he wasn’t familiar with back inside of the castle. It was beginning to get a bit too crowded for his liking.
“What doesn’t make sense?” Genis repeated impatiently, coming to a stop in front of the other boy. He brushed a stray, silver lock of hair out of his face and gazed at him. He didn’t seem too different from the half-elf himself, other than being at least two or three inches taller and having a green color scheme. He wondered… was the other boy, perhaps, half-elf also?

"Oh!" Ion hadn't expected anyone to have heard his comment. Genis had caught him by surprise, but he was welcoming of the company. He'd already noticed how similar he and Genis appeared. But... the other boy couldn't have been a replica like him. They might have looked a tiny bit similar, but there was no reason to assume that. "I was just thinking about how I got here. Not here here, but to this world." Ion explained. "Thinking about it, it really doesn't make a lot of sense. I won't go into detail, but I really shouldn't even... be here." Ion said simply. He doubted the silver-haired boy would believe him if he said he was meant to be dead. It was quite the outrageous thought.
"I don't believe I've seen you around before. My name's Ion." Ion greeted at last. Yeah, that was a smooth transition of conversation topics. Ion wondered if some of Luke's smoothness, or lack thereof, had been transferred to him somehow.
