There was that. Maka had to agree with Fluttershy, as there were some good aspects about the rain. Still, such a terrible storm couldn't mean anything good would follow. "That's true. Rain is good sometimes. I just wish it didn't have to be such a bad looking storm." Maka commented. She motioned for Fluttershy to join her, Dongwa, Ion, and Fly. Maka felt that if they were closer together then they would be safer. After all, there was safety in numbers... even if that safety was only brought about from just knowing that you were in the presence of friends.

Fluttershy smiled and slowly walked over to join Maka and the others. It was good to have some good friends in this strange new world. True, she missed her friends back in Ponyville but there was a very slim chance she was going to go back to that world anytime soon.
"It's kind of exciting though...." she said with a tiny smile

A small laugh escaped Maka as Fluttershy spoke. She had to agree once again. Even if she was concerned for those still outside at that very moment, the storm was definitely bringing much needed excitement to the strange world. "I guess that's true, Fluttershy. A little excitement never hurt anyone." Maka said. It just... seemed so sudden. Why was the storm even happening? "I don't pretend to understand why it's happening, but... maybe it's not entirely bad." she murmured.

"Yeah, the rain'll help some of the plants grow around here," Fly agreed. But still, he just knew that this storm was not just a harmless little thunder and lightning. It would be bad. How bad, he couldn't tell. But even so, Fly could not help but worry for the castle, and-- like Fluttershy-- the people caught out alone it the storm. "Either that or it will blow them all down," he added with a slight laugh. "Stay down, all of you," Amaterasu told them gently. "Stay away from the windows. The rain is beginning to come down, and I sense it will only become heavier as time passes."

"Either way, it won't be good for anyone caught outside in this thing. It's beginning to look like it might be a real tempest on our hands." Maka observed. While she was glad she and her friends were safely inside, not to mention being together, she regretted not looking more diligently for Soul when Chel had mentioned his being around a few days back. Maka also hoped that Chel would be all right. "We're going to have quite the situation on our hands when this is all over." she said.
"I don't think we ought to be worrying about the aftermath before this thing gets bad." Dongwa pointed out. "Let's worry more about riding this thing out for now. And like Amaterasu said, stay down. We don't want anyone getting hurt in case something comes flying through the windows." he said.

(Ray suggested that I jump in here, so why not?)
Toboe scampered into the castle to escape the dangers of the storm. Having been too late to find shelter before it began, he was sopping wet and looked more like a drowned rat than anything else. The young wolf shook the rainwater off of him. "I guess I'll be safe in here for now," he told himself. After having a chance to dry off a little, he looked around. At last, he was not alone. His ears pricked up in delight, and his soggy tail started wagging.
"Hey! I'm not alone here after all!" Toboe said with delight. "You... you don't mind if I stay here for now, do you?" He hoped that the group staying here would let him stay as well. After all, the last thing the scrawny wolf would have wanted was to be forced to be outside in this awful weather.

So, someone else had come in to the castle after all! Ion was glad to see that someone else appeared to be okay, even if the poor wolf did look like a drowned rat. "We don't mind at all." Ion replied, characteristic warm smile gracing his features as he motioned for Toboe to come closer. The group seemed to have settled with huddling together, and Ion didn't mind that at all. It was better to be in the company of friends, anyway.
Dongwa was a bit more wary of Toboe's appearance, but he said nothing and merely nodded in agreement with what Ion had said. The poor wolf did look like he could use some shelter, and Amaterasu was welcoming of most everyone. She surely wouldn't object to the presence of another wolf. "Go ahead." the kitten finally said.
Maka was the last to agree. She certainly had no objections to Toboe's presence. He at least looked more sensible than Kiba did. "Amaterasu is pretty welcoming, anyway. I don't think she'd have any objections." Maka stated.

"Really? I can really stay? Gee, thanks!" Toboe replied in excitement, tail wagging harder than it had been already. One would think he was a dog were he not a wolf. The soaking wet young wolf approached Ion and lay down beside him. He breathed a sigh of relief. These people would welcome him. That was all he needed to know to be comfortable.
"You know, you're really nice. I like you guys," he remarked while yawning. "So, who's this Amaterasu? Is she nice, too?" The scrawny newcomer was just full of questions.

A soft laugh escaped Ion after a moment. Toboe certainly was a curious young wolf. If Ion didn't know any better, he certainly would have said he was a dog. He wouldn't question why the wolf seemed so trusting of people. Maybe Toboe was just different from other wolves. In a way, he was reminded once again of Arietta's monster companions. "Amaterasu is that white wolf over there. Don't worry, though, she's very friendly." Ion assured Toboe as he pointed out Amaterasu. He found himself petting the friendly brown wolf after a moment. He couldn't help himself... he was just so cute! "My name is Ion, by the way." he added after a moment. He was certain the name had some sort of significance in Auldrant, some sort of special meaning like Luke's, but for the life of him Ion couldn't recall what that was.
"I'm called Dongwa. We sure seem to be getting a lot of potential new members of this group recently." Dongwa commented. His comment was offset by a loud clap of thunder, causing the young kitten to let out a meow of fright before leaping in to Fly's arms. Despite his attempts at being brave, Dongwa was failing miserably in the light of the fierce storm.
"And I'm Maka." came Maka's own greeting. She liked Toboe already. He reminded her of Crona in a way, but not completely. He, at least, didn't appear to be a big ball of nerves like Crona. "I guess you just found yourself in this world in the midst of this storm?" she asked.

"It's nice to meet you," he said to the three. "Oh, and you, too, miss Amaterasu," he added, his gaze focusing on the white wolf. But wait! There were two white wolves there, and one of them looked familiar. Could it be... Kiba? Toboe let out a little laugh. "Hi, Kiba!" The young wolf was happy to see someone he recognized among the other white wolf's group. "I didn't expect you to be hanging out with people like this, too."
Then again, anyone would do whatever it took to get out of this storm. Thunder clapped outside; the small wolf nearly jumped up before he realized that there was nothing to be afraid of. "Y-yeah," he replied to Maka. "Can you tell?" The answer was obvious and written all over him.
"Either way, I'm just glad I'm not out there right now!" Thunder sounded once more as he stated that cheerfully. "I'd hate to be out there where I could be struck by lightning."

"Well, you do look like a drowned rat. No offense meant, of course." Maka replied. Poor thing. He really did look terribly, terribly wet. "I would hate to be out there, too. I just hope anyone that is out there is okay." she added absentmindedly. Especially Soul. And Crona. she thought. It occurred to her that Toboe hadn't yet introduced himself. She was curious as to how he seemed to know Kiba, but that didn't matter for the moment. "By the way, I don't think you introduced yourself." Maka said. "We can't just go around not knowing your name, now can we?" she asked.

"Oh, right!" He was so focused on the fact that one of his old packmates was staying with the group that he completely forgot to introduce himself. "My name's Toboe," he answered. He wasn't too offended that she had called him a drowned rat. That's what he probably looked like anyway. It didn't help that he was so scrawny compared to other wolves, thus augmenting the fact that he looked like a drowned rat.
"So, I guess we just rest here while we wait out the storm?" Toboe asked. "I think I can do that." He nodded. Rest would be nice. It seemed that he had been outside for quite a long time, anyway.

"Yes, that it our plan of action until futher notice, Toboe," Amaterasu told him with a dip of her crown. "Come closer, my friend. It will not do you any good to stand in the open while the rain is pouring through the window."

"O-okay," Toboe replied. With that, he came closer to Amaterasu. He hadn't even realized that he was so close to the window. Perhaps then he would actually have a chance at drying off. At this point he could probably be used as a mop. He was tempted to shake himself off even more, but he had a feeling nobody else would appreciate getting wet.
The young wolf sensed something different about Amaterasu. He didn't know what, but she seemed different from the other wolves he knew. Grateful that she had pointed out that he was too close to the window before, he rolled over onto his side.

Amaterasu nosed the newcomer's pelt gently, not only searching for any wounds, but also probing the layers of scent the wolf carried. The smell fo rain overpowered most everything else, but she could smell a tiny trace of moonlight and stars underneath it-- a telltale sign that he had only come into this world recently. "Forgive me, but you have not been around here long, have you?"
